The District Office building is the octagon shaped, blue building located next to the Post Office on Jalan McKerron.
The registration section is as the back of the building. If you come in the front door, go up the stairs on your left. Proceed to the back of the building. Through the orange doors you will enter the registration section. This is split into 3.
On your left: Application Form for Identity Card and Queue Number
Straight ahead: National Registration Section (Identity card)
On your right: Registration for Births, Deaths, Adoptions & Nationality

- Women need to be covered wrists to below knee with high neck line
- Men can be wear short sleeved shirt, but must wear long pants
- If in doubt wear work attire

You will need:
- Completed Application form for Green Identity Card (you can obtain the "Application Form for Green Identity Card" from Counter 1 in the District Office at any time so that you are ready when you lodge the form and have your photo taken.)
- Passport with Employment/Dependent Visa
- Photocopy of Photo page of Passport
- Photocopy of Employment or Dependent Visa
- $20 per person
- For renewals you will need your existing IC, which will be taken from you
Next Steps:
- Go to section on your left and hand all the above to Counter 1. They will check you have all the required documentation.
- You will be given a Queue Number and directed to National Registration Section (Identity Card) section
- When your number is called, go to the chair and you will be directed to give finger prints and have your photo taken
- You will be given an Identity Card receipt showing your Date of Registration and Date of Collection (usually around 3-4 weeks later)
- On (or around) collection date, take your receipt to Counter 2 of the Application Form for Identity Card Section to pick up your IC card.
