Post Office
Location: Jalan Singa Menteri - Same road that links the KB town to Supersave - along the road from the tea pot.
This large building is located on the southern side of the road so U-Turns will be required.
When receiving overseas parcels you will be sent a card which you then take to the Post Office. Each time you collect a parcel you will need to sign in a book and write your IC number (so learn it quickly or you will be pulling it out everytime). The customs officer will then ask you what is in the parcel and sometimes they will require you to open the parcel in front of them.
If you don’t have a mail box at your home or choose not to use CfBT as your mailing address, you can get a Post Office Box from Seria or KB. Go into the post office and request 2 copies of the ‘Application for Private Box / Locked Bag’. Fill this out and attach two copies of your IC or Passport. (Remember to copy both sides of the IC or copy the information page and employment page of your passport). You will then need to sign it at the office.
They will tell you 2 to 4 weeks. This is fairly accurate, but it could take only one week, or could take up to 2 months. Just be prepared!! The cost is $40 per year, starting at the 1st of the month in which you are allocated the box. You must pay at least 2 weeks before the year has expired to hold your box for the following year. This is vital as they will “close” your box if payment is not made and will return to sender all mail after that date.
They will give you a small pink card which you will use each year when paying. It is very handy to help you remember when the payment is due.

Hani is a lovely lady in the KB Post Office. If you are likely to receive a number of parcels speak to her about adding your number to her ‘little black book’. She will then call you when a parcel arrives. They will usually just "miss call" you. So make sure you add the post office phone number to your hand phone.
