Electricity Rates for Pre-Paid Meters
Brunei is set up with a system to encourage people to use less electricity.
Pre-paid meters are set to keep a monthly count of units purchased and units in credit (this is the number shown on the meter). The more units purchased in a month, the higher the rate charged. The count of units purchased is zeroed on the first on the month. Any unused units will be carried forward as a credit for the next month.
Each month the first 600 units purchased is charged at a rate of $0.01 rate per unit.
601-2000 units the rate increases to $0.08 per unit.
2000 - 4000 units the rate is $0.10 per unit
4001 and above units the rate is $0.12 per unit.

- Purchase top up voucher from local Electricity Department by supplying meter number. Minimum purchase $6.
- Purchase a scratch card from a retailer displaying Powerkad sign follow instructions
- Visit http://www.incomm.com.bn/ and look for Powerkad options. Available blocks: $10, $20, $30, $50, $100, $118, $200, $300, $400
